Robyn Martin, Founder, CEO
Rural Exports was founded by Robyn Martin, a Texas native building an independent trade coordination practice designed to help businesses navigate international markets, logistics, and compliance without needing to hire a full in-house team. She holds a BBA in International Business and Finance from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas, and has spent years developing the skills.
Robyn's formal training includes freight broker certification through Brooke Transportation Training in Dallas, a Texas real estate license, and pursuit of the Certified Global Business Professional (CGBP) credential. She speaks English and intermediate Spanish, and works alongside trusted specialist partners — including Johannes du Toit, MBE, based in the UK and South Africa — to support projects that require coordination across time zones.
Her operational background includes hands-on work in residential and luxury home real estate, ranch real estate, property management, construction (both office coordination and framing crew work), and custom cabinetry building. She was raised on a horse farm, still helps her brother manage his registered polled Hereford ranch, and grew up around the realities of agriculture, land management, and rural business operations in the heart of Texas.
That range of experience — from blue-collar trade work to professional sales and business development — gives her a grounded understanding of the constraints, timelines, cash flow realities, and operational challenges that small and mid-size businesses face. Her understanding of how policy, regulation, and political systems affect business operations comes from direct statewide work across Texas, including political coordination during the 2018 cycle across the state.
That experience gave her an inside view of how government decisions on trade, infrastructure, compliance, and economic development create real operational consequences for businesses trying to grow across state lines and international borders. It informs her practical approach to trade systems.
Rural Exports was built to address a gap that Robyn saw firsthand: capable businesses in rural and underserved areas are often excluded from larger market opportunities not because they lack skill or product quality, but because the systems around trade, logistics, and compliance are difficult to access and hard to navigate alone. The company exists to bridge that gap by taking the parts of trade that feel overwhelming and turning them into a process clients can actually understand.
Rural Exports is designed to scale across agriculture, manufacturing, construction, and disaster relief operations, with service offerings that include export readiness assessments, 3PL logistics coordination, certification advisory, and federal procurement navigation. The company is registered as a vendor with SAM.gov for federal contracting and as a supplier with the UN Global Marketplace, and maintains strategic partnerships across North America, the UK, Europe, and Africa to grow.
At its core, Rural Exports reflects Robyn's belief that good businesses should not be limited by geography or access to networks. The company was built to make trade systems more navigable, more practical, and more connected to the realities of the people using them. She has spent years building the skills, certifications, and network necessary to execute that vision properly — working across freight coordination, real estate, and construction to understand how businesses move goods.
