Geographic Coverage

Rural Exports coordinates international trade through a vetted specialist network with active partners across multiple regions. Coverage is organized by tier — based on how fully each market is mapped, which specialists are in place, and what kind of engagement we can run today versus what needs lead time to assemble. We focus on routes where we can build a reliable team and structure, not on claiming universal coverage. Institutional participation includes SAM.gov, UN Global Marketplace, USEAC, EXIM, USDA, WFP, and FAO.

Tier A — Fully Mapped

Active corridors with specialists in place. Ready to scope and execute.

Tier A markets are where Rural Exports has signed alliance partners, established specialist relationships, and a working coordination structure. Engagements in these markets can move from discovery to scoped proposal to execution on standard timelines.

  • United States — domestic coordination across ports, border crossings, inland hubs, and field locations
  • Canada — cross-border coordination with North American partner network
  • United Kingdom — alliance partner network covering customs, freight, and trade compliance
  • European Union — multi-country coordination through UK and EU specialist partners
  • South Africa — established partnership covering local execution, port operations, and inland logistics

Tier A coordination covers route design, vendor selection, documentation workflows, and project oversight. Licensed customs brokers, freight forwarders, and trade compliance specialists handle regulated filings, transport, and on-the-ground operations under our coordination structure and invoice clients directly.

Tier B — Activatable

Coordination available with lead time to assemble specialists.

Tier B markets have established trade flows and known specialist networks but require additional scoping time before a full engagement can launch. Discovery calls and Made to Scale Phase 1 engagements in these markets begin with specialist activation as part of the project plan.

  • Mexico
  • Saudi Arabia
  • United Arab Emirates
  • Argentina
  • Ecuador
  • Japan

Lead time for Tier B activation typically runs longer than Tier A engagements because specialist relationships are scoped per project rather than pre-positioned. Clients with active opportunities in these markets should expect a structured discovery and partner activation phase before execution begins.

Tier C — Logistics Coordination Available

Freight and shipment coordination available now. Market-entry advisory requires longer lead time to scope.

Tier C markets cover most other countries and regions where reliable freight and customs partners can be assembled for shipment coordination. Clients with active logistics needs in these markets — moving goods, coordinating customs, managing documentation — can engage Rural Exports directly. Full market-entry advisory for Tier C markets is scoped case-by-case and may require additional lead time depending on the corridor.

Coverage includes:

  • South Korea
  • China
  • West Africa region
  • Other African countries (case-by-case)
  • Other Latin American markets
  • Other Asia-Pacific markets
  • Other European markets
  • Other Middle East markets

Tier C coordination focuses on logistics execution: freight movement, customs clearance, documentation, and milestone tracking through our specialist network. Clients seeking strategic market entry into Tier C markets should expect a discovery phase to assess specialist availability and activation timing before committing to a Made to Scale engagement.

Tier D — Watch List

Networking and monitoring conditions. Not currently coordinating.

Tier D markets are corridors Rural Exports follows but does not currently coordinate. Conditions in these markets — sanctions, regulatory environment, or specialist availability — limit what can be done today. Inquiries are welcome for relationship building and future positioning, but active engagements are not undertaken at this time.

  • Cuba — limited authorized lanes only (TSRA-compliant agriculture, medical exports)
  • Venezuela — sanctions-restricted, monitored for general license changes
  • Other markets where sanctions, conflict, or specialist gaps prevent reliable execution

Rural Exports maintains professional relationships with specialists, attorneys, and program contacts in Tier D markets to track conditions as they evolve. Clients with long-term interest in these markets are welcome to schedule informational calls.

How Tier Placement Works

Tier placement reflects two factors: whether qualified specialists are positioned in the market, and how much lead time a client can expect between discovery and execution. Tier A means specialists are signed and ready. Tier B means specialists can be activated with project lead time. Tier C means logistics coordination is available now and advisory engagements require additional scoping. Tier D means conditions prevent active coordination.

Tier placement is reviewed regularly. Markets move between tiers as partner networks expand, conditions change, or specialist relationships are formalized.

If your work touches a market not listed in Tier A or Tier B, schedule a discovery call. We'll tell you honestly which tier applies and what kind of engagement is realistic on your timeline.
